صراع اعيشه كل يوم .. مواقف احتار اكون فيها ظالم ام مظلوم ... سوف اتكلم عن موقف اعيشه يوميا وهو ركن العربيه.

طبعا اذا كنت محظوظ في ركن العربيه فلا اسلم من ركن البعض صف ثاني و حبسي لمدد طويله ! .. طبعا كلنا نتعرض لهذا الموقف و لكن كيفيه التعامل مع هذا المازق يختلف .. فاظل ابحث عن صاحب العربيه الي "قافله" عليه او اتصرف مع بعض الماره في تحريك هذه العربيه الي بتكون غالبا معشقه! .. ما الذي يدفع مواطن صالح في التعدي علي حقي في الخروج من الركنه بطريقه امنه؟ احيانا ينتابتي نوبه غضب بعد طول الانتظار و اقوم بتجريح العربيه بمفتاحي و هذا خطأ افظع .. شعوري بالغضب يغلب طباعي و مبادئي .. و هنا اكون قد تعديت بالأذي علي صاحب العربيه بدون وجه حق.

انا هنا اتكلم عن قناعتي التامه بسوء فعلتي ولكن هذا لا يردعني عن فعل الخطأ .. تحدثت مع شيخ جليل في هذا الامر .. قال لي ان العين بالعين و السن بالسن .. والرد يكون ب"التقفيل: عليه بالمثل .. ولكن هذا حل – او رد – غير عملي بالمره.. رد علي الشيخ بالاحتساب!! .. الغريب في الامر ان صاحب العربيه لا يبدي اي ندم او حتي يعتذر .. فقط يحرك عربته في لا مبالاه ، مما يزيد من شعوري بأحقيتي في أيذاء عربيته

في علم التنميه البشريه يطلقون علي هذا الموقف Lose – Lose situation و هو الخساره لكلا الطرفين. فما هو الحل السليم لهذا الموقف؟ الغريب ان هذا السلوك متفشي في المجتمع المصري ولا يفرق بين المتعلم و الجاهل. عندما يدفعني المجتمع لهذا السلوك فهو حقا .. مجتمع مريض!

The cross line between what you’re doing and what you’re selling is slowly fading.

Clooney in an ER-performance cameo – minus the sweet talk and the romcom, starring as Ryan Bingham; a “walk up” caller as he described in one of his scenes, his job is to fire people and effectively handle the impact .. That’s by giving them a package. I don’t know which came first for him, the numbness selfish awareness or the career. The movie couldn’t care less about his victims but focuses on the dialogue development between humanely connect-less Clooney and the fresh, young college graduate, not ready for the real world; Anna Kendrick. Followed by how Clooney was fooled for thinking he can have a normal life and a normal relationship.

Life is a pack bag, an analogy used to emphasis that relationships are the heaviest components of your life. Living with no attachments has it’s pros but defiantly the cons outweigh them. Life is all about connections with people, whether it be friends or lovers. It's not about material things, it's about love and enjoying the company of others. Even loners don’t want to be alone, everyone needs a co-pilot.

Good movie, Oscar worthy

Side notes:

The open-ended scene has much interpretation into it that makes you appreciate the 2^nd time you watch the movie.

The 1999 masterpiece Fight Club touched the subject of what frequent flying careers can do to a human psyche

A weird movie with a bizarre - yet childish- soundtrack, emotionless on many fronts yet strong on underlying messages... The script is well written with genuine stylized dialogue yet not worthy of an OSCAR! .. It’s a pro-life advocating film about a teenager knocked up by her best friend.

I really don’t know if I like this movie or not. One thing I appreciate is the clever attention to details and the wacky Juno.

My fond of Michael Jackson stopped after his 1996 - not so great- album “history”, simply I grew up and he grew weirder. But I’ll never forget his impact on me during my childhood & teenage years. I grew up in the 80’s & 90’s so the guy was around in many of my tapes & CD mixes. I won’t explain how he excelled or what is so grand about Michael, this is not what the post is all about, this post is simply a recognition of the man’s legendary status in the music business and a deserved respect to what he had accomplished in the realm of entertainment.

Yesterday, Radio & TV kept airing patriotic anthems since our glorious win – sorry defeat - against world football champions Brazil, WTF????

We are probably the only country in the world that celebrates failure; we value good performance & display more than we value positive outcomes & results, it’s like buying defected products as long as it’s wrapped pretty nicely. Unfortunately, that’s the mainstream ideology, it doesn't matter if it works right as long as it looks OK.

We used to praise mediocrity, now we get our kicks from defeats!! Even for the pessimistic me, that’s a new level of “low”.

It's a pointless email, if they don't call within 2 months from the final interview, chances are you are not selected. I emailed them back with a piece of my mind.

My definition of a tip: a courteous financial jester towards a service well provided, or to encourage service providers to stick with a positive attitude towards service receivers.

In Egypt, it’s a right and the consequences of not tipping/not tipping enough vary between frowns and verbal abuses. That’s why the best tippers are foreigners; they want to avoid being embarrassed or worse; being abused.

I mean do you tip according to the size of the bill or according to the quality of service provided? Do you tip because you have to and as not to come off as a “cheap”? Do you tip because you are programmed to; conditioned since your early childhood years or out of conviction? The actions of tipping and how much to tip are two tangled issues that comprise a state of discomfort and confusion.

Dwight Shrute from the hit show (The Office) refused to tip a delivery man for the following witty logic:

“Why tip someone for a job I am capable of doing myself? I can deliver food, I can drive a taxi, I can – and do – cut my own hair, I did however tip my urologist, because I am unable to pulverize my kidney stones”.

As funny as that statement sounds; he does have a point .. That’s why I tip according to the quality of service and often out of pity to the less fortunate and underprivileged labors.

I really despise the fact that people expect a big fat tip for a job they are supposed to do. Moreover, In their twisted minds they think they have earned this charitable jester. You don’t earn a tip, you earn a raise, a promotion .. Not a tip. A tip is totally up to the tipper and it’s absolutely a judgment call.

N.B: a Tip disguised as charity is not a tip .

..حكومة سجلت حالة قياسية لم تسجلها حكومة من قبل: أزمات خانقة في السولار.. كارثة في سماد الفلاحين.. نقص حاد في مياه الشرب في معظم المحافظات.. ارتفاعات قياسية في أسعار السلع الغذائية مع غياب تام للأجهزة الحكومية.. سيطرة «مافيا» منظمة ومتشابكة علي أسواق الحديد والأسمنت.. ثم أزمة «طوابير الخبز» التي لم تواجهها مصر من قبل

حكومة اشتراكية ترفع شعار «الاقتصاد الحر».. وزراء يتحدثون ليل نهار عن تحرير الاقتصاد والخصخصة وفتح الأسواق، بينما يصدرون قرارات ويتبنون سياسات المنع والإغلاق وتوزيع السلع التموينية بالبطاقات، وزيادة الدعم العيني

. وستجد أن الحكومة في واقع الأمر ليست حكومة واحدة.. ستجدها حكومتين في قضية الدعم.. واحدة تحارب من أجل بقائه.. وأخري تقاتل لرفعه نهائياً.. وستجدها ثلاث حكومات في التوجه الاقتصادي العام

واحدة متحررة تعمل بنظرية «بيع يا لطفي».. والثانية «اشتراكية» تدافع عن الاقتصاد الموجه.. والثالثة تعمل بعقلية «الموظف».. وستجد أن لكل حكومة من الثلاث حزباً داخل الحزب الوطني والدولة.. لا تجانس ولا تناغم.. وفي بعض الحالات «خلافات وصراعات وضرب من تحت الحزام

.. حكومة عاجزة عن حل مشاكل تجاوزتها دول كثيرة.. وعاجزة ـ وهذه هي الأزمة ـ عن إقرار قوانين وتوجهات صنعتها بيدها.. والأمثلة كثيرة.. منها قانون التأمين الصحي الذي دخل الثلاجة، وقانون الضريبة العقارية الذي يواجه صراعاً داخل الحكومة والحزب الوطني.. وقانون تداول المعلومات الذي استقر في خزائن النسيان!

.. حكومة لا تعرف الشارع.. حكومة ليس لها في السياسة.. وألف باء السياسة هو التعامل الواعي مع الرأي العام.. لذا كان طبيعياً أن تخلق لك أزمات متتالية مع المواطنين، وتضطر ـ وأنت الرئيس ـ إلي التدخل المباشر في كل أزمة، ففي أزمة «الخبز» مثلاً، لم تتحرك الحكومة، وضربت «لخمة» حتي تدخلت شخصياً، وكلفت جهاز الخدمة الوطنية ووزارة الداخلية بمواجهة المشكلة.. فهل يستوي ذلك مع دولة بها حكومة، وحزب يخطط للحكومة؟ .

I'm quitting my job very soon, and I'm taking some time off to reflect on things on my mind.

I liked to believe that I can do whatever I want if I put my mind into it, my substantial determination and my resilience broke under the sheer reality of how things work.

I'm astonished by the my shortcomings, I thought they were small but on the contrary, they are disastrous, and I'm too old and messed up to even try to work them out.

I'm starting to question what I really want; sometimes I'm not cut for what I really want, other times I want the right things for the wrong reasons or at the worst timings. I want to fly but my wings have been so denied.

I knew long time ago that nothing makes sense, although this dangerous conclusion can drive a man to disbelief or approaching-atheism, I'm not trying to figure life out, I'm simply trying to adjust to its anarchy.

Friends around me seem to "carry on" with their lives without even pausing to ask themselves what the hell they are doing, automated to mainstream of typical ideologies and choosing to exist as zombies, But they seem reflect an image of happiness and content. Should I try to change my attitude to "happy and misleaded" instead of "dissatisfied and enlightened"?

I'm back at square one and I'm narcoleptic.

Discouraged but hopeful.

Sane yet Overwhelmed.

The other day, my neighbour across the street was talking to me about the parking space situation outside our buildings, he's about 50+ years old and he was vomiting value this and logic that allover me ..

The old me would have talked back and debated the concept "whatever that is", the new me just humored him and gave em the fake respect and attention he thinks he deserves.

I don't like the new me, but he will out live the old me and surely his quality of life has improved by increasing his stress-free moments.

Am I border-line schizophrenic? Or am I undergoing a profound mental metamorphosis?

The "I'm so cool with the way I talk" anchor asked a young lady whether she concurs with Mostafa Kamel's famous quote, "If I weren't an Egyptian, I'd have loved to be an Egyptian". Regardless of the fake display of patriotism from all of the respondents, this particular lady dazzled me with this:

"I think Egypt is great, I don't think I have anything negative to say about it, it even has the best mega malls that competes with the ones in the foreign countries, I think the ones we have are even bigger and better"

The link between wanting to be an Egyptian at any cost and Egyptian mega malls is a perplexity waiting to be analyzed.

I'm too drained to even start to analyze this crap, I just felt on posting a sample of:

1- Egyptians production of silly TV programs.
2- Egyptians apparent talent of expressing themselves, especially in front of a camera lens.
3- Egyptians irrelevant responses and their tendency to speak out than shut up.
4- Egyptian fascination with City Stars "The King of Mega Malls"

Out of like 15 participants, two responded that they would rather "be" another nationality. The inevitable question of "what nationality and why" followed and I kept waiting to hear –with much anticipation I may add- for keywords like Production; Efficiency; Keen on development and learning; Research; Analytical thinking, and Objectivity, Sadly my anticipation was in vain. A respondent vaguely mentioned discipline but inside a context of how foreigners abide by traffic laws.

I'm glad to be an Egyptian; At least I can shop at Spinneys and eat Mac-Tasty in the food court.

Driving seems to bring out the worst in people, they behave like animals that merely function out of their most primitive instinct; Aggression.

It's surprisingly lucid how much negative energy oozes out as we - human beings – carry out daily functions like conversing or problem resolution. The other day at fetar time; I encountered one of those people you cannot fairly describe, but I'll go with semi-educated, pseudo-professional, early 40s gentle man; who shut off his car engine and walked away as he blocked the street with his car, the reason for his "in his mind justified" furry was that he refused to go back on reverse and expected me and another car behind me to do the same instead.

The ACT of shutting off the car's engine and walking away conveys ultimate selfishness and stubbornness that demolish any approach of logic or reason. As a reflex, I was going to respond to his crap by equivalent crap (i.e. leaving my car too in the middle of the street), but I had company who didn't need to experience this.

Driving in Egypt is like surviving in a vicious jungle, Dominant species (lions) get to do what they want without ethical restrains while submissive species (sheep) choose to play it safe, be victimized and endure the frustration. There is no such thing as dual-species that can go both ways; inevitably, one attitude will conquer the other and you are labeled; Predator or prey.

Lions Theory: Follow the modern version of the Darwinism theory; Survival for the most obnoxious. Bring it own punk.

Sheep Theory: Follow the passive adage," When the wind blows, Duck".

It's catastrophic that theories like these are initiated and applied on such normal daily activities like driving.

I was tricked by a salesman

Last weekend, I went to Carrefour to review the latest prices of electric appliances, I passed by the booth of Showtime - a cable company- where I stopped for just a minute to ask about their sports package price "they exclusively broadcast the English Premier League (EPL) which happens to be; my addiction".

20 minutes later, I ended up signing a one year contract via visa.

The Salesman was incredibly persuasive; hammering me with every sales strategy he ever learned, covering up every angle, luring me into his company's services. He successfully transmitted the conviction that I cannot live without the EPL.

I'm – or I like to think that I'm – a very stubborn person who isn't easily convinced, even with a tightly sealed argument. I occasionally mock common people who fall for every marketing trick out there. My theory is that the decision of purchasing a product/service should be the product of necessity and priority. My theory crashed infront of the super salesman whom I enjoyed conversing with despite the fact; he tricked me.

Under normal circumstances, I would have subscribed months ago and that would have been my own decision, but I'm in a new social status that is financially demanding, not to mention, nerve wrecking. I'm setting up my new apartment which will engulf whatever money I have now and own later. Paying money for cable is absolutely neither a necessity nor a priority considering "the status" I'm in, in comparison that money would have gone for the kitchen/bathroom tiles instead.

I even dislike salesman, because of their obvious intentions and wicked means, hell I even don't like people much, I've very picky on whom to know and not know, speak to or avoid, become friends with or alienate. Before I left I told him, – not in these words but something similar – "I don't know whether to hug you or punch you". He smiled to me and intelligently replied, "I guess if Arsenal won the league, you'd owe me a hug". WTF? how did he know I'm a gunners fan? He must have noticed me checking out their fixtures during our conversation!

I was tricked, but it's all good. This is a funny phrase I never thought I'd type.

I read this off a facebook profile of a dear friend of mine, it's not the cliché quote that grabbed my attention but rather my current status with this particular "friend".

Yes we grew apart due to life's spinning carousel, (N) indeed is one of a kind, she's very bright, successful, very cheerful and super social and she's ecstatic even if it's only Labor Day. But deep down inside she's depressed, I'm not surprised that anyone is depressed these days because it seems to be the standard/default setup of an individual's psyche, but someone who sees life as a big pink flower swaying on a rainbow with cinnamon scents allover the place *mental picture*, I can't figure out why? Again, I'm not occupied by the whys and hows but if someone like (N) is depressed/unsatisfied/unhappy, what does that make me? Suicidal??

Now back to the quote, I can relate how (N) aced in many fields and failed in others "ex: emotionally", in general people fail as much as they succeed, but (N) chose a path and that "this" path lead to consequences that some of them had to stomach. (N) is like me, she over thinks things which ultimately guides your brain towards depression and borderline psychosis. All these analysis made me rethink my status since (N) and I have a lot in common. Am I happy?

Happy... mmm... I think I was happy when I was a kid, that's the last time I recall I was genuinely happy, it's the most precious feeling in the world, Am I happy? …Mmm... eh... no, I'm not... well, it's best put in the following phrase:

"Sometimes I'm unhappy because I'm dissatisfied, other times I'm dissatisfied because I'm unhappy"

Does that make any sense? I read once that dissatisfaction is what makes someone a success, and happiness is a euphoric neurotransmitter that hinders the mind from rationalization. I wish I was back being a kid again when all the worries in the world were unified in beating Shao khan in Mortal Combat in SuperNentendo.

Bruce Willis "John McClane" died hard for the 4th time, and it's spectacular!!

I'm not big on action movies but when it comes to Tom Cruise or Bruce Willis, I get adrenaline rush out of their movies, beside being good actors... their movies rises up to their caliber. But make no mistake, Die hard is a Stereotype/Typical/over-employed/standard action movie with the following ingredients:

Body Count: I lost track after 12...
Vehicles destroyed: hundreds of cars, a truck, 18-wheeler truck, a chopper, an F35 air jet
Buildings destroyed: various, Freeway bridge, electric power plant
Explosions: Check
Convenient solutions: Check
Martial Arts: Check
Foreign enemies: Check
Ear-pounding shooting scenes: Check
One man Show Hero: Check
Cliché line before he kills the villain: Check 'see post title'
Save the daughter: Check
Police/FBI arrives after show is over: Check
Hero saves the day with only scratches & bruises: Check

All in all, this was A LOT OF FUN, a wonderful sequel, and a better summer blockbuster than most others that have come out in the past 5 years.

A "Jerk"

This conversation took place after a previous encounter with the “Jerk”. when I met this “Jerk” for the first time in my life, he made fun of me and joked around without even knowing me, as a gentleman I didn't repond to his crap then, anyways here’s what happened when he ran into us, Islam and I were standing after an exam.

Conversation start

Jerk: How are you guys?

Me: Hi , ya beta3 Amricaaa “he’s currently on a PhD program in Purdue university in the states , I think that gave him some God-complex or something cause surly he’s on a power drive"

Jerk: “talking to Islam”, you know what we don’t see in America? “Like you where born and raised there asshole” , people in the streets driving Korean cars, wearing sunglasses and stripes shirt , with a Bluetooth headset to take all the many calls they can have , and not forgetting off course to wear there 20 L.E worth of hair gel.

Me: Mmm, I bet in America, they grew on beards, preach their heart out and talk like 7 years Old...

Is it just me or are people becoming more jerks and insecure? I saw Rosie O’Donnell talk about this on the view, (I’m not a chick but I like her wackiness), anyways she mentioned that 40,000+ civilians had died from post 9/11 related issues; cancer and lung diseases were the main etiologies. The casualties from the direct hit by the planes were around the figure 2500 – 3000. Now more than 5 years later people are still dying and suffering from the consequences of the attack.

I don’t think that was intentional on the part of Ben Laden, He’s not that smart and I won’t give him much credit. But isn’t this a New Era of Terrorism, the kind that is indirect, unforeseen and unidentified. It all rang bells in my head when I was eating an apricot, it’s funny that I vividly recall that apricots did not taste like that 10 years ago, people were not so frequently sick around me and most people were not suffering from chronic/episodic headaches .

What if a secret organization (or a foe country) is secretly poisoning our soils, providing us or supervising the provision of carcinogenic chemicals and pesticides, Killing our marine life and coral populations, aidsing our youth with their promiscuous whores , the list goes on and on ..

Bottom line, I’m shocked of how weak, clueless, and unprepared we are; as a nation.

How troublesome the Muslims of the Middle East are. First, we demand that the Palestinians embrace democracy and then they elect the wrong party -Hamas - and then Hamas wins a mini-civil war and presides over the Gaza Strip. And we Westerners still want to negotiate with the discredited President, Mahmoud Abbas.

Today "Palestine" - and let's keep those quotation marks in place - has two prime ministers. Welcome to the MiddleEast. Who can we negotiate with? To whom do we talk? Well of course, we should have talked to Hamas months ago. But we didn't like the democratically elected government of the Palestinian people. They were supposed to havevoted for Fatah and its corrupt leadership. But they voted for Hamas,which declines to recognise Israel or abide by the totally discredited Oslo agreement.No one asked - on our side - which particular Israel Hamas was supposed to recognise. The Israel of 1948? The Israel of the post-1967 borders? TheIsrael which builds - and goes on building - vast settlements for Jews and Jews only on Arab land, gobbling up even more of the 22 per cent of"Palestine" still left to negotiate over ?

And so today, we are supposed to talk to our faithful policeman, Mr Abbas,the "moderate" (as the BBC, CNN and Fox News refer to him) Palestinian leader, a man who wrote a 600-page book about Oslo without once mentioningthe word "occupation", who always referred to Israeli "redeployment"rather than "withdrawal", a "leader" we can trust because he wears a tieand goes to the White House and says all the right things. ThePalestinians didn't vote for Hamas because they wanted an Islamic republic- which is how Hamas's bloody victory will be represented - but because they were tired of the corruption of Mr Abbas's Fatah and the rotten nature of the "Palestinian Authority". I recall years ago being summoned to the home of a PA official whose walls had just been punctured by an Israeli tank shell. All true. But what struck me were the gold-plated taps in his bathroom. Those taps - or variations of them - were what cost Fatah its election. Palestinians wanted an end to corruption - the cancer of the Arab world - and so they voted for Hamas and thus we, the all-wise, all-good West, decided to sanction them and starve them and bully them for exercising their freevote. Maybe we should offer "Palestine" EU membership if it would begracious enough to vote for the right people?

All over the Middle East, it is the same. We support Hamid Karzai inAfghanistan, even though he keeps warlords and drug barons in hisgovernment (and, by the way, we really are sorry about all those innocent Afghan civilians we are killing in our "war on terror" in the waste lands of Helmand province).

We love Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, whose torturers have not yet finished with the Muslim Brotherhood politicians recently arrested outside Cairo, whose presidency received the warm support of Mrs - yes Mrs - George W Bush -and whose succession will almost certainly pass to his son, Gamal.

We adore Muammar Gaddafi, the crazed dictator of Libya whose werewolves have murdered his opponents abroad, whose plot to murder King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia preceded Tony Blair's recent visit to Tripoli - Colonel Gaddafi, it should be remembered, was called a "statesman" by Jack Strawfor abandoning his non-existent nuclear ambitions - and whose "democracy"is perfectly acceptable to us because he is on our side in the "war on terror".

Yes, and we love King Abdullah's unconstitutional monarchy in Jordan, and all the princes and emirs of the Gulf, especially those who are paid such vast bribes by our arms companies that even Scotland Yard has to close down its investigations on the orders of our prime minister - and yes, I can indeed see why he doesn't like The Independent's coverage of what hequaintly calls "the Middle East". If only the Arabs - and the Iranians -would support our kings and shahs and princes whose sons and daughters areeducated at Oxford and Harvard, how much easier the "Middle East" would beto control.For that is what it is about - control - and that is why we hold out, and withdraw, favours from their leaders.

Now Gaza belongs to Hamas, what will our own elected leaders do? Will our pontificators in the EU, the UN,Washington and Moscow now have to talk to these wretched, ungrateful people (fear not, for they will not be able to shake hands) or will they have to acknowledge the West Bank version of Palestine (Abbas, the safepair of hands) while ignoring the elected, militarily successful Hamas inGaza?It's easy, of course, to call down a curse on both their houses. But that's what we say about the whole Middle East. If only Bashar al-Assad wasn't President of Syria (heaven knows what the alternative would be) or if the cracked President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad wasn't in control of Iran (even if he doesn't actually know one end of a nuclear missile from theother). If only Lebanon was a home-grown democracy like our own little back-lawncountries - Belgium, for example, or Luxembourg. But no, those pesky Middle Easterners vote for the wrong people, support the wrong people, love the wrong people, don't behave like us civilised Westerners. So what will we do? Support the reoccupation of Gaza perhaps? Certainly we will not criticise Israel. And we shall go on giving our affection to the kings and princes and unlovely presidents of the Middle East until the whole place blows up in our faces and then we shall say - as we are already saying of the Iraqis - that they don't deserve our sacrifice and our love.

Awkward Moments

It’s so annoying when you don’t have the first clue of how to react in awkward moments, but I think the first thing to do is to acknowledge your feeling and think rationally, did I establish that? Sadly, I did not. Here are moments I had earlier this year.

Moment One:
I was sitting in le café waiting for a friend to have a couple of “inhales” from their perfect shisha, it was around 12 pm when a classy woman in her 30s entered the café and sat in the table beside me, oh... and she was carrying her 6 month old son/daughter in a baby bag thing.

So far all normal, but after 10 min; she opened her blouse and she started breast feeding her son! I was not surprised to see that scene as much as I was confused of how am I suppose to react towards such an act, I couldn’t identify my feelings at the moment, was I uncomfortable? Embarrassed? Was I aroused? Or simply thirsty?

Moment Two:
I was in an academic staff meeting, bored out of my mind and goofing off with my cell phone when a female “colleague” entered the lecture hall and sat right beside me. She’s not really my friend, she’s someone I had a couple of chats with in the corridor, and maybe shared an invigilation with her, anyways... she was bored too, and guess what she decided to do, she decided to flirt with me.

First of all, her voice was kind of loud; it’s fair to say that people sitting 3 rows in front and behind me heard the flirting process. She started talking about how nice my scarf is “I do really have a beautiful scarf” and how she loves my fossil watch, she asked me about my favorite hangouts and what I do in my leisure time... bla bla bla, in the middle of all this I was writing something down when she suddenly held my hand in an attempt to take the pen away in a theatrical display. I was a sport and let her finish her performance, but I guess she took that as an invitation to carry on , she sat more close to me that in some point she was practically in my lap .. I didn’t know what to do, clearly I wasn’t enjoying this, did I mention that we were in AN OFFICIAL MEETING?

Moment Three:
The boss asked Sara and me do some Xeroxing and filing of important papers , there were a lot of papers to photo copy and 13 piles to put together, Sara made her booming show of how she “not we” will deliver the top notch work in minimum time .. I thought to myself, WTF? It’s only photocopying...

During the actual process of photocopying, she was on her cellphone the whole time giving very personal advice to her newly married friend of how to get even with her husband!! (The machine is in a small room, it’s inevitable that I hear her crapy conversation) and every 10 min she runs to the boss’s office and gives him a briefing of our progress.

What did she actually do? Nothing except polluting my ears with her very bad advices and shit-chatting with her soon to be newly-divorcee friend, plus all the distractions she diffused around me. I hated what she did (or rather didn’t HELP to do) and she bragged about the job that I practically did totally by myself. It was one of these moments when you’re boiling and numb at the same time. Again, I did not know how to react towards such creature in such situation.

Small Observation: I’ll never understand estrogen-containing species !!

Going Against the Odds

it's has been a dispointing week, The gunners had lost 3 matches in 3 different competions. Arsenal has been out of 2 major competitions in 4 days, the first was the carling cup , down 2:1 at the last 4 min of the game , the other was the FA cup , down 1:0 ALSO at the last 4 min of the game !!

Factors beginning last May of why we won't grab any silverware this year:

1-the loss of the holy grail with only 12 miutes left (CL Final)

2-the World Cup

3-last minute transfer activity

4-new stadium

5-no left-footed wide player(s) - RvP doesn't count

6-beginning the season with no Pires, no Cole, no Sol, effectively no Henry, no Ljungberg; 4-4-2 or 4-5-1?; the injuries; the Gallas mystery; the inconstancy of youth; Lehman's antics; Eboue's antics; Gilberto saving our bacon; ineffectual set plays; Question marks over Adebayor (till recently), Baptista, Aliadiere, Walcott, Senderos, Hoyte (less and less)

7-odd susceptibility to 'wonder goals' - McCarthy being the latest; our own missed penalties; missed sitters; average teams scoring on their only chance of the match; opposition goalkeepers playing blinders

8-the inconsistent refereeing (or consistently bad refereeing, which my impressions suggest have cost us more seriously than our opponents)

I suppose in a nutshell, we haven't been good enough to cope with all this , let's hope this phase won't take more time that it really should

15- Waiters/waitresses with a visible infection/burn/scar in their serving hand

16- People who don’t wash their hands after using the WC

17- Mechanics who think they are heart surgeons and Paintjob technicians (سمكرية) who think they are Picasos

18- People who fake an American or a British accent when they talk in English

19- Wust el ballad band followers, worshipers .. etc

20- Veiled women who wear tight clothes, make up of a porn star and too much accessories

Hmmm .. I think I agree with this!
As much as I like to think that women are independent human beings, I read more into life and religion and discover other wise.

No matter how strongly they deny it, women need men in their lives as much as I need a woman in mine, I’m not full of ego and pride to deny this natural fact. I’ll marry my future wife not for the common reasons people do marry for (companionship, sex and offspring ) but for this fundamental reason:

“ She’ll be the rock upon which I stand, The Sea upon which I float, I’m her and what I see is me, she’ll lead me through life and help me understand the best I can, she’ll complete me and provide me with security and trust”

And I strongly believe that any success I’ll live up to make, she’ll have a big contribution in it. I confess to that before I’ve seen it.

Leave the Kids Alone!

I know that most of you super dads and soccer mums won’t like this, but your children are overrated and overvalued, most parents have turned theirs into cult objects, they have a child fetish and it’s not healthy. Don’t tell me “well, I love my children”, EVERYBODY loves their children, doesn’t make you special.

What I’m talking about is this constant, mindless fixation that everything should revolve around children; it’s completely out of balance. The parents strive to make their child the best and insert their fears, insecurities and expectations in them, Mind this; not all children are smart and clever, Children are like any other group of people, a few winners, and a WHOLE lotta losers who are simply not going anywhere. So stop being overprotective cause it’s not in your hands and you are making them too soft.

An example of how people burn their kids on so called structure, School uniforms, bad theory, the idea that if kids wear uniforms in school it helps keep order, Don’t these schools do enough damage already? Making all these kids think alike, now they want them to look alike too?

Another example, more related to teens who parents think up to 19 years are still considered children! The smoking issue, kids do not smoke because it’s cool or some camel in sunglasses tells them to, they smoke for the same reasons adults do because it relieves anxiety and depression, and with all the identify crisis they go through at this age, it really helps. So don’t tell your child not to smoke, he won’t be convinced.

Embrace your child’s shortcomings, accept him as what he is, inspire them rather than preaching them. A person’s character is molded in the early days of his childhood years, help your kids be an effecient character, whether he goes on to lead a successful or a lousy life, at least he will grow to be a healthy person both psychologically and mentally.
